4th of July

This year we packed in just about every 4th of July activity you would ever want.
Add in some great friends and you get one perfect holiday!

Yankee Doodle Dash for Ronnie in Everrett
He did really well and the kids enjoyed cheering him on

Everett Parade
What is the 4th of July without a good ol' candy collecting parade?

Jetty Island
This was a fantastic place to hang with friends.
The weather was beautiful and the kids could have played in the sand all day!
The wet sand went on for a really long time before you got to the water.  It was totally mushy and the kids enjoyed sinking all the way up to their waists in it.  We only got one kid stuck but with a little team work she was freed!

Fire works
We set up camp on the top of a parking garage and entertained ourselves until the show started.  It was the perfect spot!

It feels just like yesterday. Like home - where we should be. It's hard for me to believe that that's not my life anymore. Sniff.

It's all wrong.

What a fun way to celebrate the 4th! You got some really great pictures at the beach. You weren't kidding when you said the kids sank up to their waist in the mud. Glad everyone was rescued. That looks like a cool place to watch the fireworks. You got some really great sparkler pictures. What settings did you use? Mine always have the sparkler light blurred a bit more. I love the way you can see the individual little sparkles. Great job!
