Dance Dance Dance
Madison has been dancing since she was three but this year she was on her first competitive dance team. We weren't sure how she would like it... she's not that competitive. Trust me, I had to walk away from many soccer games because my blood pressure was too high from trying not to scream at her to "GO GET THE BALL!". We don't play soccer anymore. But we soon discovered she didn't care if she won first or tenth, it was being up on that stage that she loved the most. She is a performer through and through. Her face lights up and she soaks up every bit of that spotlight. She loves the glitter, the feathers and flashing her dollar bills in her solo portion of the group hip hop routine. She doesn't mind the long hours of rehearsal as long as it means she gets to put on a flashy costume and dance on that stage. We are so proud of her hard work and have seen her grow in so many ways through this team. We are just sad it was her last year on ECD. Her Coach had to end the team and concentrate on other areas of her business. Madison loves her coach and all the girls she danced with this year. We will miss them. Lucky for us though, we have found another awesome studio and some of Madison's dance friends have decided to try out with her.
