Eleven

Madison's only request for her birthday was to have a friend party.  She is such a trooper each year with her family parties since her birthday is always near Thanksgiving.  But I have had to make a point to have an early friend party with her and her cute girlfriends.  This year we picked her and Samantha up from dance and went straight to Mudhouse pottery to meet her other friends and let them paint their own masterpieces.  We then went back to our house for a pasta bar and some ice cream cake.  After most of her friends left, we let her best friend Samantha sleep over which is a total treat.

Later we had Grandma and Grandpa Chapman and Hayden and Bethie for Thanksgiving so we took the opportunity to head into the city for some more birthday/holiday/touristy fun!  We headed into Seattle to show Hayden and Bethie Pikes Place before getting some italian food to eat on our birthday boat.  After our boat ride we went to see the gingerbread houses and then the christmas boat light parade.  It was a jam packed day all on the heels of Thanksgiving.  I was SO ready for bed that night!

Our new Brother in Law fits in pretty well with the fam ;)
Gracie was so glad to have a friend while standing in line for the gingerbread houses

We love you sweet Madison.  May all your birthday wishes come true.

Holy mother of gingerbread houses, those are amazing! And what an awesome way to spend a birthday, the best of both worlds with friends and family. You guys always know how to show your guests a great time, that birthday boat sounds like a blast! Happy (late. very late.) birthday, sweet Madison. It seems like just yesterday we were skipping sunday school to chat in the mother's lounge with our babies...
