We have had some fun snow days here in Washington. The kids have loved playing in the snow, demanding that after playing in the snow one MUST have hot chocolate, and also having daddy stay home even though he still had to work. They didn't miss much school though because a lot of the snow came during their winter break. The first weekend of winter break was President's Day weekend so we decided to venture down to Oregon for a trip to nana and papa's house.
We had fun in the snow there too. We went to Bend's winter festival where we saw motocross, ice sculpting, snow statues, and lots of fun vendors and exhibits. Bex loved the motocross but wished he could get closer to the action.

And of course a trip to nana and papa's wouldn't be complete without a screamin' sledding hill. We just drive up the mountain a little ways, find an old logging road or 4-wheeling path and go for it. My kids are so spoiled! We came home and went sledding at a park near out house and they were so unimpressed by the "little hill".

Other activities included hot tubbing, date to the movies, helping watching my dad cut the wood for the entry bench he is making me, cooking with nana, card games, reading, and just enjoying my parents. Thanks mom and dad, we love you so much!

Okay, this made me miss the snow for the first time in...forever. Well, atleast the sledding part. Your parents are so great, you can tell they just adore being grandparents and a bench?? Your dad is amazing, lucky you!
Looks like a super fun trip! That is a serious sledding hill. Your kiddos look so cute all bundled up. I hope you had lots of hot chocolate after all of that snow play.
